Dale and Pamela Tadlock, Founders of Tadlock Roofing, received the Spirit of Youth Award at the 17th annual ‘Racing for the Roses’ Gala on Saturday, May 7 for their commitment to the welfare of at-risk youth in the community.
Dale and Pamela have built a relationship with Boys Town over the last 15 years, both personally and professionally. The Tadlock family knows first-hand all of the success that comes from Boys Town North Florida, proudly serving as the title sponsor for the annual ‘Raise the Roof for Boys Town’ fundraiser, assisting in raising more than $135,000 for families and youth since its inception in 2019.
“The Tadlock family continually inspires others to find room in their hearts for the children and families who turn to Boys Town North Florida for hope and healing,” said Margaret Farris, Boys Town North Florida Director of Development.
In 2021, Tadlock Roofing assisted the organization in securing $45,000 in two hours during the annual ‘Raise the Roof for Boys Town’ fundraiser. To put these numbers into perspective, $500 supports one (1) child living on the Boys Town campus for one (1) month, so the total amount collected supports all 40 children living on-site for more than two (2) months. Dale and Pamela Tadlock work hand-in-hand with the organization to ensure successful fundraising, as they previously sought Boys Town North Florida services for professional and emotional guidance.
“As a family, we have dedicated our lives to raising three biological and four adopted children. There was a time, in his teens when our adopted son was facing behavioral issues and we brought in Boys Town North Florida for assistance,” says Dale Tadlock. “We are forever grateful for the healing their team did for our son and our family. He is now serving in the United States Military.”
Boys Town North Florida is changing the way America cares for children, families, and communities by providing and promoting an Integrated Continuum of Care that instills Boys Town values to strengthen body, mind, and spirit. For 100 years, Boys Town has given thousands of at-risk children the love, support, and education they need to succeed.
