Tadlock Roofing Donates a Free Roof During Grand Opening to Local, Single
Mother Who’s House Was Destroyed During a Devastating Fire

Gainesville, FL – January 25, 2023 – Tragedy turned to triumph, Alachua County
native, Thine Strawder, is the proud recipient of a free roof from Tadlock Roofing
after her home of 28 years was destroyed during a fire. As part of their Grand
Opening and continued initiative to make a difference in the communities in which
they live and serve, Tadlock Roofing is partnering with Alachua Habitat for
Humanity on Wednesday, January 25 at 10:30 am to present Mr. Strawder with a
free roof certificate and 10-year workmanship warranty.

Thine is a single mother of eight and grandmother of 14. She was born and raised
in Alachua County and was forced to relocate after her home was destroyed
during a fire to Section 8 housing. After learning of Alachua Habitat’s
Homeownership Program, Thine was successful in her application and began her
journey to rebuild. “I am most excited to host my family in a home that truly belongs to me. I look
forward to every aspect of the process – from construction to moving in, to the first
time celebrating with loved ones,” said Thine Strawder. Alachua Women Build, an all-volunteer program of Alachua Habitat that builds homes in partnership with hard-working families often headed by women in need of safe, affordable housing, has partnered with Thine to build her new home. While
the home-building story was unfolding, so were Tadlock Roofing’s efforts to open
its seventh location with the purpose to make a difference.

Tadlock Roofing learned of Thine’s story, needs to rebuild, and without hesitation
took on the exciting opportunity to provide the roof materials and labor at no cost.
