Last year, I wrote a column about the impact of Hurricane Irma across the state of Florida, and how the storm served as a reminder to many that you never know when your city will be affected. Now that the 2018 hurricane season is upon us, I feel compelled to reiterate the importance of preparing your homes and families for the possibility of a hurricane or severe storm.
Hurricane season began June 1 and ends November 30, and while we have been fortunate that no major storms have made landfall yet, we still have many months of hurricane season to get through. Though it isn’t certain that your home will face the brunt of a major hurricane, at the very least, most Florida cities can expect heavy winds and rains associated with the season.
That’s why it is important to get someone out to inspect your roof and identify any problems before any rough weather begins. You will also need to look at any siding problems, clogged gutters and untrimmed trees that will make your home more vulnerable to storm damage.
While we are prepared to work overtime for families who do experience storm damage and are humbled that so many trust us in their time of need, we don’t wish to only focus on providing exceptional service in the aftermath of a storm. Whether you’re in the market for a roof replacement, or just need some minor repairs, we can help you make sure your roof is ready to protect your family during whatever rough weather we experience this season.
It is our mission as a roofing company to be a resource to homeowners in every way possible, both through our services and the education we can provide. If you’re not sure how to prepare your home and roof this hurricane season, you can refer to our helpful blogs for tips and advice.
And, of course, you can give us a call at any of our five Florida locations to speak with one of our expert roofing professionals. No matter what, we’ve got you covered with protection before and support after any storm.
